Ann Tung- Piano and Cello Instructor (Mandarin/English)
Ann obtained her Master’s of Music degree from San Francisco State University. She is a classical and jazz pianist and has taught piano for over 20 years. She has participated in Jazz bands as a pianist and has played in festivals like the San Jose Jazz Festival, the Alameda County Fair, and the Milpitas Jazz Festival. She has also performed piano at nonprofit events as well as church events.
Ann started learning piano in her early childhood and attended an experimental music program in primary school and high school. Besides piano, Ann also plays cello as a minor and has toured throughout the United States as the principal chair in orchestra in college. Ann loves teaching students of all ages and is very versatile in her styles! She’s taught students as young as 5 years old through seniors.
Alive or Dead, What Musician would you do anything to see perform/meet?
So many… Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Quincy Jones to name a few!

What did you want to be while you were growing up?
It is silly… I watched ice skating in the Olympic Games and was pretty inspired, although I couldn’t even walk on skates
